HIFTPS Releases Research Recommendations on “Accelerating the Development of an International Tourism Consumption Center”
On April 14, during the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo, China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD) and Nanfang Media Group co-hosted a research release event, organized by Southern Weekly, to present findings on China’s 2025 consumption development. With the theme “In Resonance with the Times”, the event brought together representatives from government, academia, and business to discuss key topics including stimulating consumption and comprehensively expanding domestic demand, as well as emerging consumption models and trends. The discussions focused on widely shared concerns related to upgrading China’s consumption structure and effectively driving consumer demand.
At the event, Guo Wenqin, Secretary-General of the Hainan Institute for Free Trade Port Studies (HIFTPS), released the report titled “Accelerating the Development of an International Tourism Consumption Center: Current Status and Recommendations for Internationalization of Tourism Consumption in Hainan” on behalf of the research team.
